Dear Hans, I was very naive to assume giving you my father's line to the fourth generation would tie in closely with your family. We are VERY distant cousins. Nevertheless, It is good to know of the connection and the other two siblings of Hans Jakob Leibbrand (married to Anna Katharina Haulfler). I have him listed as the only child of Isaak Leibrand and Magdalena Troester. In reading an article in a periodical, (Germans from Russia Heritage Review September 1981 page 24) I learned Georg Leibbrandt had written several books and had volumes of family history in "seven large trunks". Are you aware of any such library and more specifically, any works where Leibbrandt histories are translated to English? On a personal note, what is your occupation and how long have you been involved with genealogy? Sincerely, Cindy --- Hans Leibbrandt wrote: > Dear Cindy, > > Your family line is note completed in the files that > I got from Vernon > Leibbrandt, so you are up till now not in the > L-family tree. > > To find where your and my lines meet you need to go > back to generation 4 in > about 1600: > > 4.
