Johann Leibbrandt; and the Oethinger, which was led by Biehlingmayer and Jakob Mayor: Fr. Metzger J. Leibbrandt, Jak. Lutz,
We owe many thanks to people who supported building the family data in the George Leibbrandt book "Hoffnungstal und Seine Schwaben". Also in this particular families data, we need to give special recognition to Paul Reeb personally for his great contributions to making much of the Hoffnungstal family data available to us. § He married Maria Agnes Schneider, daughter of Johann Michael Schneider and Elisabeth Maier, 11 Nov 1788, in Unterweissach. Born, 7 Jun 1767 (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, pg 235 - "RL: 7.7.1779"). Died, 17 Dec 1830, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. § 3. Juliana Magdaline Eisenmann. Born, 3 Nov 1797, in Unterbrueden (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, pg 235 - "RL bei Ft: 21.3.1798"). Died, 28 Jun 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. § The rest of Christoph's children and family information is reflected on page 245 of the Georg Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book. Children: § The descendants of Christian and Barbara are detailed in the Hoffnungstal book of George Leibbrandt. There is some indications that part of this leg of the family also came to the USA. At some later date we will have to add what we have of this family to these records. § Daughter of George Michael and Maria Agnes (nee Schneider) Eisenmann (Eisemann). Page 235 of the Georg Leibbrandt book reflects more about Maria Agnes' family. Grandparents of Maria Agnes; § She is reflected at age 20 on page 678 of the Stumpp book during the 1858 census. Then we can see her on page 466 of the George Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book, without any reflections of any marriages. § Still in the Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book, on page 482, we see that is reflected that she may have been the first wife of Ludwig Zweygardt (born 4 February of 1836); However, now when we go back to page 682 of the Stumpp book, we can see (RL 50) that Ludwig at age 22 has a wife Margarete at age 28 and a son Wilhelm at age 1. § However it should be noted that the one year old of Ludwig and Margarete discussed above, is in fact found in these files as "Wilhelm Ludwig Zweygardt" born 19 August 1857, who married Margarete Leibbrandt born 30 October 1879! § Other children listed on page 180 of Hoffnungstal book by George Leibbrandt. Children: § The Georg Leibbrandt book on page 235 reflects this gent as being son of Christian and again the same thing on page 236, HOWEVER - ALSO on page 236 he is reflected as being son of Gottlieb too! § 14. Johann Michael Wall. Born, 19 Aug 1827, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 468). Died in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § This fellow is reflected on page 678/679 of the Stumpp book, during the 1858 census of Hoffnungstal. He is reflected as being 28 years old, his wife Christine being 23 and son Jakob at age 1 and Susanne age 3. For some reason he does not show up in the George Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal. It is very probable that he took his family and moved to some other village. Many of these folks shifted to Hoffnungsfeld, but even there, most of them continue to show up in these various files. So odds are, he went somewhere besides Hoffnungsfeld. § In the George Leibbrandt book, it is reflected that the first child was born to his first wife and the rest of the children were born to his second wife. § Potential parents and ancestors can be found on page 212 and 213 of George Leibbrandt's Hoffnungstal book (see note on last entry of Be 1,2). § Adams obit and death certificate both say he was born 21 August 1868. The George Leibbrandt book on Hoffnungstal reflects the 11 Sep 1867 date. § The passenger list reflects his mother's name as "Rosina" and so does the Leibbrandt book (page 265) both reflect his mother being, while his death certificate reflects her name as being Maria Lutz. § The Leibbrandt book reflects his father as Johann Matthaeus Fritz born in 1841. Children: § 31. Philipp Wall. Born, 30 Sep 1856, in Hoffnungstal, Odessa, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, indicates birth as 29 Sep. and so does his wife's notes). Died, 22 Apr 1913. Census: 1900, in McIntosh, ND. Census: 1910, in McLean, ND. Immigration: 4 Nov 1885. Occupation: Farmer. § 35. Johann Philip Orman. Born, 3 Oct 1857, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 10 Sep 1939 (page 376 of Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, shows "1 Jul 1914 in Hoffnungstal" ??). Burial: Sep 1939, in White, Hayes, NE (St Johns Lutheran Cemetery). § He married Juliane Schaffert (Julia), daughter of Jakob Ludwig Schaffert and Margarete Mueller, 1879, in Hamilton County, NE. Born, 14 Jun 1859, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (3 Jun 1860 ?? ( Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 414 )). Died, 2 Mar 1947, in Hayes Co, NE. Burial: Mar 1947, in White, Hayes, NE (St Johns Lutheran Cemetery). Children: § (The following information is taken from page 230 and 494 of the Hoffnungstal book by George Leibbrandt.)
We owe many thanks to people who supported building the family data in the George Leibbrandt book "Hoffnungstal und Seine Schwaben". Also in this particular families data, we need to give special recognition to Paul Reeb personally for his great contributions to making much of the Hoffnungstal family data available to us. § He married, third, Juliana Magdaline Eisenmann, daughter of Georg Michael Eisenmann and Maria Agnes Schneider, circa 1819, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Born, 3 Nov 1797, in Unterbrueden (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, pg 235 - "RL bei Ft: 21.3.1798"). Died, 28 Jun 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § See the Leibbrandt book on Hoffnungstal for more Hoffmann information. § See the Leibbrandt book on Hoffnungstal for more information on the Metzger and Schick families. § It is confusing to try to re-create the information on this fellows family. In the Stumpp book, it is reflected that he died in 1856, but the Leibbrandt book (which recognizes the difference in the data) reflects that his death was in 1886 as reflected in this information. § Then we see in the Stumpp book, that his first wife (Elisabeth) was in the household in 1858 during the census, however the Leibbrandt book reflects that the second wife (Anna Maria) died in February of that year! One thing that does appear to be reflected the same in both books, is that all three of the children were mothered by the first wife (Elisabeth). § From the Leibbrandt book, "oo II von Elisabeth Bihlmeyer mit Jakob Swester (S.d. Johann Jakob Swester u.d. Anna Maria Weber) * 11.3.1822". Children: § 16. Johannes Fiechtner. Born, 29 Jul 1842, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 15 Mar 1887, in Ukraine. The birth date of 29 July 1842 is provided in the Leibbrandt - Hoffnungstal book. We find that in the 1939 Gnadental Bessarabia family book on family group sheet number 75, that his birthdate is reflected as 11 June 1843. In that the Leibbrandt book reflects the wife's birthdate in an apparent errorous way, it is believed that there is also a good chance the Gnadental data is perhaps more correct than that contained in the Leibbrandt book. § He married Christine Barbara Sandmeyer. Born, 20 Apr 1842, in Glueckstal, Glueckstal, South Russia. Died, 6 Mar 1914, in Ukraine. It is believed that the birthdate provided in the Leibbrandt - Hoffnungstal book of 1 Oct is in error. The date used here is the same as found in the St Petersburg report (film 1883192 item 2 page 278, register number 83). In this St Petersburg report, it is reflected that her parents were Philipp and Anna Margaretha (geb. Strobel) Sandmayer. Part of the feeling of proof for this adjustment. If you look in the earlier St Petersburg reports for the 1837 - 1838 time frame, we find that the birthdate of 1 Oct 1837 does not fit. On 5 Nov 1837 a Johann Friedrich was born to Philipp Sandmeier. (see film 1882647 item 3, page 178 register 171) Children: § i. Matthaeus. Born in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 248 reflects 22 May 1850, not consistent with parents). § v. Friedrich. Born, 28 Jun 1862, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 250 is in error; refer to Lydia, page 85). Died, 1940, in Berlin. Occupation: Kaufmann. § v. Rosine. Born, 24 Jan 1871, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. She married Johannes Schick, son of Johann George Schick and Rosina Dorothea Leibbrandt. § He married Katharina Leibbrandt, daughter of Immanuel Jakob Leibbrandt and Friederike Margarethe Stroh, 26 Apr 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Born, 18 Sep 1836, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 1920, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § Wilhelm Gottlieb was married to three wives and had children with all three of them. The Leibbrandt book on page 193 and 194 will reflect the information on the rest of these children and wives. Children: § i. Jakob. Born, 6 Jun 1875. Died, 19 May 1916, in Odessa. Occupation: Gebietschreiber. He married Christiane Leibbrandt, 18 Oct 1912, in Odessa. § vi. Lydia. Born, 10 Sep 1902, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. She married Friedrich Wilhelm Leibbrandt (Fritz), son of Johann Georg Leibbrandt and Elisabeth Harsch, 6 Oct 1926, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § She married Christian Friedrich Siegle. Born, 15 Dec 1850, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 398 "22 Dec ??"). Died, 11 Dec 1919, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § iii. Johannes. Born, 3 Sep 1899, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. Occupation: Lehrer. He married Ernestine Leibbrandt, daughter of Gottlieb Friedrich Leibbrandt and Mathilde Harsch, 26 Jun 1927, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § iv. Martha. Born, circa 1956 (??) (1926 ?? - (see page 348 of Leibbrandt - Hoffnungstal, )). § iii. Gottlieb. Born in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 1914 (gef.). He married Elisabeth Schick, daughter of Johann George Schick and Rosina Dorothea Leibbrandt, before 1911.
LEIBBRANDT of Hoffnungstal Odessa (D. Wahl) § We owe many thanks to people who supported building the family data in the George Leibbrandt book "Hoffnungstal und Seine Schwaben". Also in this particular families data, we need to give special recognition to Paul Reeb personally for his great contributions to making much of the Hoffnungstal family data available to us. § 8. Johannes Leibbrandt. Born, 29 Nov 1762, in Markgroeningen. Died, 24 Jul 1817, in Ismail. Occupation: Zieglermeister. "Er war Fuehrer der "Weissacher Auswanderungsharmonie der Kinder Gottes", die im Mai 1817 ueber Ismail nach Kaukasien auswanderten, 6 Kinder." ". . . und zog an deren Spitze mit Frau und 5 Kindern im Mai 1817 nach Kaukasien aus." § The "Swabian" expeditions that Johannes Leibbrandt was a member of has been well documented. Georg Leibbrandt's "Die Auswanderung der Schwaben nach Russland 1816 - 1823" has been one of the leading works on the subject. These treks varied from the earlier folks route because the decided to emigrant all the way down the Danube from Ulm to the Russian river port at Ismail at the mouth of the Danube in the Black Sea. § 9. Christina Barbara Leibbrandt. Born, 26 Sep 1802, in Unterweissach, Germany. Died, 13 Mar 1826, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. § This person along with her younger brother Immanuel Jacob Leibbrandt, were the only two surviving children of the Leibbrandt family to finish the trek from Germany. § The German From Russia Heritage Society HERITAGE REVIEW (VOL. 11 No. 3) for September 1981 contains the story of the Leibbrandt family and how all but the two children were lost at Izmail in September and October of 1817. § This information is contained on page 465 of the Georg Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book. It has been looked at by the author who does not do German, and it is felt that it reflects a vision (dream) that this young Michael had in 1803 where his younger namesake (Johann Michael born and died 1796) brought him a special message that he in turn shared with his mother. Hopefully someday we will be able to get this read correctly and then can update it here. § 10. Immanuel Jakob Leibbrandt. Born, 8 Nov 1805, in Unterweissach. Died, 4 Feb 1901, in McCook, Red Willow, NE. "Kolonist in Hoffnungstal, mit 79 Jahren nach USA ausgewandert, 13 Kinder." § 12. Johannes Leibbrandt. Born, 10 Sep 1829, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 10 Mar 1883, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia (3 Oct 1883 ??). § In the George Leibbrandt book, it is reflected that Johannes was the "Kirchenvorstand" - board of directors of the church. § Grandmother of Dr George Leibbrandt of Bonn Germany. George is accredited as author of the Hoffnungstal book. The Germans from Russia Heritage Society HERITAGE REVIEW (Vol. 11 No. 3) for September 1981 contains a history on the Leibbrandts. This is where a good deal of the information was obtained on this person. § We can also see this family on page 333 of the George Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book (Hoffnungstal Und Seine Schwaben). Children: § i. Johann Michael. Born, 29 Sep 1854, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 1 Oct 1877 (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 333 - "Bender (als Soldat)"). § 13. Katharina Leibbrandt. Born, 14 Dec 1844, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 27 Feb 1914, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § 16. Elisabeth Leibbrandt. Born, 15 Jun 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 17 Dec 1934, in Oakland, Alameda, CA. § "(besucht 1932 von Dr. Georg Leibbrandt)" § 17. Johann Adam Leibbrandt (John). Born, 25 Mar 1861, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 9 Nov 1918, in McCook, Red Willow, NE. Burial: Nov 1918 (Ash Creek Cemetery (St Johns Lutheran)). Immigration: 1884. Occupation: Farmer. § In the George Leibbrandt book, we can see that Elisabeth and Johann Adam Leibbrandt were supposed to have went to Indianola Nebraska in 1884, and took Jacob and Gottlieb with them. It should also be noted that we cannot find them in the Paul Reeb listing of German Russian folks who immigrated to Cheyenne County. § 18. Susanne Wall. Born, 20 Apr 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 467 12 Apr ??). Died, 20 Feb 1942, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § On page 347 of the Georg Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book, it is reflected that this Mathilde may be the daughter of Christian and Louise (nee Harsch) Wall. The data is reflected with a question mark. We have data in the archives to reflect that Christian and Louise's daughter, Mathilde, married a Gottlieb Fiechtner. § 20. Immanuel Jakob Leibbrandt. Born, 13 Jul 1857, in Hoffnungstal, Odessa, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, a "Kolonist" in Hoffnungsfeld). Born, 28 Nov 1860, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 21 Feb 1936, in Perwomaisk ("ausgesiedelt"). § The Hoffnungstal book by George Leibbrandt indicates that George was one of the original colonists of Hoffnungsfeld and he was "head of the church". § The George Leibbrandt book on Hoffnungstal reflects that she had two children, Eduard and Otto. ". . . sie wurde mit den Kindern aus 2. Ehe Eduard * 1921 und Otto * 1923 im Jahre 1929 nach Archangelsk verschickt, dann wieder nach Nordost-Sibirien, Buchta Nagajni Lager, dort +." § This is the famous Dr George Leibbrandt we refer to in these files so much. Georg is accredited for being the author of many of the works that has become to be so meaningful for many of our German Russian folks. There are some folks who have some bad things to say about him. It has been said, that anyway you slice him he was still one of Hitlers Nazis during WW II. It is also felt that many of the works that bare his name are not wholly his work, but the effort of several folks, and he merely put his name on them because of the position he was in at the § Dr Leibbrandt was commissioned 1934 - 1940 by the Foreign Office to undertake a study of the peoples in Eastern Europe. At the University of Berlin, he was engaged as a teaching fellow in the department of Foreign Studies. He lectured on the history of the people of Eastern Europe. § George published the volumes of "Sammlung Georg Leibbrandt" which was historical sources and materials for assisting in the researching of the ethnic Germans in Eastern Europe. He done a series starting in 1944 which comprised seven cartographical works with complete listings of the German Colonies, "Die deutschen Siedlungen in der Sowjetunion". Other works were 11 volumes of "Buecherei des Ostraumes" which dealt with peoples and problems in Eastern Europe, such as titles - Ukraine, Caucasus, Turkestan, Comintern. and some smaller monographs on "Bolschevism". § 24. Gustav Leibbrandt. Born, 11 Sep 1873, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. § The family that is being assigned to this fellow is being done out of speculation. There is differing dates between the AHSGR records (see card C26-14) and what is reflected in the Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book. There are two things that tend to make this connection logical. First, this Gottlieb Fiechtner as reflected in the Leibbrandt book mother's name was Leibbrandt and the many of the Leibbrandt's ended up going to McCook where this fellow on card C26-14 was married and many of his children were born. The second reason is that the only other Gottlieb born in this time frame whose father was also Gottlieb ended up in the Java ND area not the McCook area. § 29. Gustav Peter Leibbrandt. Rettersburg (Waiblingen), and died 28 April 1850 (at Hoffnungstal) and his mother was Anna Barbara Geiger. His first wife was Barbara Ormann born 4 May 1820 in Hoffnungstal and died 10 October 1844 in Hoffnungstal. His third wife was Magdalena Wolf, born 6 January 1824 in Hoffnungstal and died 29 March 1899 in Hoffnungstal. Children: § 7. Johann Christian Stepper. We owe many thanks to people who supported building the family data in the George Leibbrandt book "Hoffnungstal und Seine Schwaben". Also in this particular families data, we need to give special recognition to Paul Reeb personally for his great contributions to making much of the Hoffnungstal family data available to us. § It should be noted that Alfred's line goes back to this Friederike, while Darlene's line goes back to a first cousin of this Friederike whose name was also Friederike Wall (born 1831) who has caused much confusion between these two ladies (for instance, refer to Georg Leibbrandt's book on Hoffnungstal). Nancy Unger is daughter of Alfred and Darlene. § The following is extracted from this Unger Family History; " . . . Gottlieb Jacob Unger . . . died between 1876 - 1884 in Hoffnungstal Russia. This left his mother Friedaricka alone with five small children. . . At this time in Russia if the head of the family died and he didn't have a son of age to become the head of the family, the widow and children were without land or property. Usually a relative took them in unless an older daughter married. Most girls married young. In 1884 this family left Hoffnungstal by way of Odessa Russia and came to the United States. At this time Elizabeth Unger was married to John Leibbrandt and they had two small sons, Gottlieb and Jacob. My grandmother, Friedaricka (Wall) and her four sons (my dad, Fred was 14 years old) traveled along with John's 74 year old father, Immanuel Jacob Leibbrandt, serving as the leader of the group. Also with this group were Jacob Leibbrandt's nephew and wife, George and Katharine (Schaffert) Wall and Katharine's brother, Jacob Schaffert. Note -- Jacob and Katharine are brother and sister of Julia (Schaffert) Orman. Friedaricka (Wall) Unger is also a niece of Jacob Leibbrandt and her father's name was Stetsof Wall. . . " § The George Leibbrandt book and the Paul Reeb list of German Russian immigrants into Cheyenne County reflect Jacob and Katharina coming to the USA in 1886 with their son Wilhelm. § Elmer's mother died in 1917 and he was raised by his father's sister Elizabeth. He sometimes went by the name of Leibbrandt.

He married Barbara Burkle, 1842, in Karlsthal, Cherson, South Russia. Born, 6 May 1821, in Hoffnungstal, Odessa, South Russia. Confirmation: 1836, in Hoffnungstal, Odessa, South Russia. The Georg Leibbrandt needs to be reviewed for applicability to this lady. It would appear that the Maria Barbara reflected as born in 1822 is very probably this person! Children:
We owe many thanks to people who supported building the family data in the George Leibbrandt book "Hoffnungstal und Seine Schwaben". Also in this particular families data, we need to give special recognition to Paul Reeb personally for his great contributions to making much of the Hoffnungstal family data available to us. § The Hoffnungstal story is told in the Georg Leibbrandt book on the village, and also includes a family tree for the WALL family for the first few generations in Hoffnungstal. We hold a copy of this book in the family archives. A good deal of the information in these files has been coordinated with the information contained in this book. § Then on page 254 of the Georg Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book, we can see that Johann Jakob lost his first wife at Ismail in 1817, like so many others who died there. We can only estimate with what we know at this time, that between the death of the first wife in 1817 and the birth of the first child in 1819, that Katharine and Jakob were married in 1818 or early 1819. § On page 254 of the Georg Leibbrandt book on Hoffnungstal it indicates that Jakob was "Separatist". § Georg Leibbrandt's book on Hoffnungstal reflects Leonhard as being the original "spiritual leader" of Hoffnungstal, and as listed on the fire insurance list. § He married Katharina Barbara Lutz, daughter of Johann Jakob Lutz and Katharina Barbara Maier. Born, 22 Oct 1798, in Plochingen (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 465). Died, 6 Nov 1845, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Barbara's parents and grandparents; § This information is contained on page 465 of the Georg Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book. § He married, first, Christina Barbara Leibbrandt, daughter of Johannes Leibbrandt and Christine Katharine Conrad, circa 1821, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § Daughter of George Michael and Maria Agnes (nee Schneider) Eisenmann (Eisemann). Page 235 of the Georg Leibbrandt book reflects more about Maria Agnes' family. § She is reflected at age 20 on page 678 of the Stumpp book during the 1858 census. 66 vii. Louise. § In the Stumpp book, on page 678/679, during the 1858 census of Hoffnungstal, we can see this person reflected as being 18 years old. We can also see her on page 466 of the George Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal book. § 56. Christoph Friedrich Wall. Born, 18 Feb 1828, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 16 May 1902 (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 467 "Colorado"; page 441 indicates died in 1878). § Looking over the information in Georg Leibbrandt's Hoffnungstal book, it would appear that Christoph probably died in 1878 and his wife died in 1902. If that is correct, then it would appear that perhaps the mother brought the children to the USA in 1884. § He married Katharina Troester, daughter of Johann Friedrich Troester and Margarete Hofer, 1849. Born, 22 Aug 1832, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 24 Jul 1902, in CO (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 467 "Colorado" (Burlington ??)). § ii. Katerina. Born, 1855, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 1930, in Colorado (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 467 "Colorado"). Census: 1858, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Stumpp, pg 681 RL 30). She married Johann Lutz. § 59. Katharine Elisabeth Wall. Born, 30 Nov 1829, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, indicates 13 April). Died, 3 Dec 1889, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. § She married Johannes Leibbrandt, son of Immanuel Jakob Leibbrandt and Friederike Margarethe Stroh, 28 Oct 1852, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § i. Johann Michael. Born, 29 Sep 1854, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 1 Oct 1877 (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 333 - "Bender (als Soldat)"). § 61. § In the Georg Leibbrandt book, it is reflected that the first child was born to his first wife and the rest of the children were born to his second wife. § i. Died in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. He married Katharina Bamesberger. § v. Rosine. Born, 24 Jan 1871, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia. She married Johannes Schick, son of Johann George Schick and Rosina Dorothea Leibbrandt. " § Son of Jakob and Regine (nee Haller) Digel. Grandparents and great-grandparents and other members of the families can be found on page 229 of the Hoffnungstal book by Georg Leibbrandt. § Daughter of Matthaeus Christian and Katharina (nee Schlecht) Daegele. Her earlier family and brother and sisters can be found on page 227 of the Hoffnungstal book by Georg Leibbrandt. Children: § Son of Johann Philip and Rosine (nee Stepper) Rosin. The grandparents and other folks are reflected on page 382 of the Hoffnungstal book by Georg Leibbrandt. Children: § On page 470 of the Georg Leibbrandt book, there is a reflection (W1 V,1) that a son Christian (birth unknown, with death in 1938 in Hoffnungsfeld) who married a Sophie Jakobine Wall (T.d. W1 III,4) who was born 20 Nov 1874, and they had a son (Johann) who was born in 1895! This all does not make sense so the data is not being included with this family at this time. Later, if somebody can re-define where the relationships have went astray, we may be able to include it. § 85. Wilhelm Wall. Born, 4 Dec 1851, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 467 - 4 Feb ??). § He married Karoline Rosine Lutz. Born, 30 Nov 1854, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, also reflected as 4 Sep 1858). She is listed as leaving with her family, but so was her sister Rosina and we know she was married and had four children when she came here in 1911! § 118. Mathilde Troester. Born, 19 Dec 1840, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 14 Mar 1886, in Hoffnungsfeld, Cherson, South Russia (Leibbrandt Hoffnungstal, page 469). § It would appear that after Katharina Margarete died in 1869, Wilhelm married as second time, to Rosine Wagner (Wg II,2), and they had at least seven more children. Refer to page 482 and 483 of Georg Leibbrandt's book on Hoffnungstal. Children: § She married Philipp Heinrich Bamesberger (Witwer), circa 1875. § He married Karoline Christine Fiechtner, daughter of Gottlieb Fiechtner and Katharina Leibbrandt, 13 Nov 1879, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Born, 28 May 1857, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Died, 19 Aug 1920, in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia. Children: § iii. Gottlieb. Born in Hoffnungstal, Cherson, South Russia.
